I got myself a lovely army green parka and long mesh skirt from Topshop last week. LOVE THEM. And by the end of this I started to get a little violent, from liking the stuff so much obviously.

UNIQUE SHOES

I think these are meant to be available sometime this week at Topshop. Without a doubt, I have to get a pair. It's just such a fantastic combination of pastel hues, utilitarian strapping and hefty heel construction. Not to mention my recent obsession with socks and heels.

UNDEROVER

I have discovered the joy of wearing underwear on the outside. Got myself some of those body slimming tight undergarments. They're super comfortable and indeed, hold everything in.

Therese Rawsthorne's most recent collection SS09/10 got me thinking of this underwear as outerwear. The models seem to be wearing the same sort of shorts in a nude colour.

HWEEN PREP

Some pictures from the weekend past...I made this necklace for halloween, and cut the top off these Levi 501s. For the necklace, I wrapped black string around a bunch of fabric and tied on some sticks, bits of gravel and some hair I had lying around from back when I had Japanese hair extensions.

Pretty excited about halloween to be honest. AND looking forward to this summer...it will be so much easier to get dressed in the morning. Although i have grown to like the heavy jackets and layering, I still prefer being able to wear whatever I want without fear of spending the day miserable and cold.

A while ago Squeasel (her blog PROM THEME) pointed out this amazing top to me. Available from Leather Lore at a range of prices, attachments, and colours.

METAL GEAR

I went to Oxfam with Squeasel. Oxfam, for those of you who are unaware, is a community aid abroad sort of thing, a shop that sells things made by people from third world countries, and then most of the profits go back directly to them.

I bought this bellydancing bra/top from there for $50AU.

Here I'm wearing it with a black mesh AA bodysuit, Tigerlily leather jacket and Supre tights.

In the "Photo #3" post, you can see the same sort of chainmail-ey thing that Squeasel bought for her hand. It's awesome.

TOPSHOP UNIQUE

I am completely in love with the sequin pants. They look amazing. The pic on the right looks all futuristic and awesome and the knee high boots are really working with the outfit, usually I don't like knee high boots, but these are really doing it for me. The other shoes are awesome too, if you look through the collection you'll see that they've used pretty much the same shoes all the way through the show, maybe in 2 colours but with heaps of different coloured socks and laces. Im really enjoying that and matching the sock and lace colour to the pants.

This dress is fantastic. I think I might have a shot at making it. It's so elegant and simple yet flattering.
